This was our second stop in Portugal having travelled down from Porto on the Train we arrived and were checked in by very polite and friendly reception staff. Was never too much trouble to help us find where we needed to go each day and they also helped us with our transfer to the airport on our way home. Our double room did have twin beds pushed together which made for a spacious comfortable nights sleep. Clean sheets, a selection of pillows from hard to soft. Plug next to bed for charging. The room was clean, bathroom clean, towels fluffy and clean. Hair dryer in bathroom. Dressing table with accessible plug for own use. Good lights and mirrors. There is a night light that we could not turn off and i would prefer to sleep in pitch black but wasn't the end of the world just not my preference. There was a shower over the bath which was a good pressure and easily controlled, however it would be good if the hotel could provide a non slip mat for the bottom of the bath as it was very slippery and the floor stepping out is marble effect tiles so be careful. There was a bath mat but only very small. There was a coffee maker in the room but our one did not work. We put the pod in and only hot water came out, luckily we had our own teabags so we were able to make a cup of tea after purchasing some milk from the bar. The air-conditioning was temperamental but we were at the beginning of the season so we were able to cope it was not too hot. We had a nice balcony so were able to open the door. There was a medium size bottle of water provided free and two smaller ones that were 2.50 Euros. Once the free one is used it is not replaced. Again I would have expected free water to be replenished every day it would be nice for the comfort of your guests. Breakfast was well presented the fruit was delicious, however the hot food on our first morning had gone a bit cold. Plenty of other options though including little pancakes which were very nice. Our two night stay was very pleasant and we found a nice little Gasto Bar right next door who welcomed us in, this is situated in the theatre next door, they serve meals too if you are on a short stop and too tired to go into town. Ubers were working out on average 8 Euros to city centre and never waited more than 2 mins for one. Station is very close too. 20 mins from the Airport. Nice hotel friendly staff in our experience. Older, Dated and Far from the City Center

This is an older, dated hotel far from the city center. (An Uber ride is at least 15 EU). Our room was small even by European standards and the bath was inconvenient with no counter space. I would not rate this as highly clean; we found hair in the shower and dirty counters. The view was of the building next door's AC units which was disappointing. Breakfast was minimal. Of the four hotels we stayed while in Portugal, this was the worst. Coffee came from a machine, was cold and had to wait. Portugal has a long way to go to clean up it's cities for guests. I would not stay at this hotel again but choose a small one closer to the city center. Only positive was the front desk who were exceptionally friendly. We were told this was a four star hotel. I would only give it two.

Let's start with something positive about this hotel: It's reasonably close to a metro station that connects it to the city center. However, that's about it - there are many problems with this place: The rooms look nothing like the pictures in reality. The bathroom is tiny and has a very slippery bathtub. Our worst experience was with the service though. Despite a housekeeping visit - we received new coffee pads - the room was not cleaned and all the towels were left unchanged. Additionally, the air conditioning system didn't work and despite multiple reports to the front desk, the issue was not addressed, with the front desk manager first ignoring us and then getting impatient and unfriendly. Overall, I would strongly suggest to avoid this hotel - it's neither worth its supposed 4 stars, nor the price.

The worst ever hotel I've come across. Lets start from the beginning. I've stayed in this hotel from the 3rdjan-27thjan.on 25th jan I find a note in my room asking me to meet at the reception as they have found something in my room. As I hurried and reached the desk I meet up with one Mr Salves at the reception who with a very straight face says "you have to pay €120 as you have burnt a sheet" I'm standing there puzzled and trying to get around what he's saying while he walks in and gets the sheet ( pic attached). I tell him that's it's not possible cas I haven't used the iron (hot press) in a week. He doesn't listen to me but goes to the back and gets his boss Mr Rudolph who States the same. I replied the same and also stated that I had complained on 2 occasions that my room wasn't being cleant at all and someone was using the bed as the pillows were not in its place. For which I provided pictures too to the front desk. So why will I refrain from accepting the fact that I burnt the sheet.Thean doesn't bother to acknowledge and States speak to the front office manager tomorrow. I mentioned that il b at work by 9 so I can meet the manager either before 8:30am Or post 6pm.Mr Rudolf just says it's won't work n walks off leaving me all baffled and puzzled. Come tomorrow 26th jan. I walk in at 5pm and to what I knew would come true my room is locked. And at the front desk is Mr Salves and Mr luis Alves and from behind comes Mr Joao pinto(rooms division manager) who says " Ma'am you have to pay €120 cas of the burning of the sheet".My 1st question "why was my room locked" Answer" I don't know. At times it happens ".i walked in the hotel with 2 colleagues who were on the same floor and their rooms weren't locked. So why mine? Answer again" I don't know. It happens ".my room has been prepaid. My travel is on 27th jan.. I'm Indian. So you assume I'm gon run away without paying you the €120?? Mr Joan Pinto doesn't listen to any explanation I give him. The sheet has just half of the iron printed on it. How is that possible if I have left it on by mistake that only half of the iron burns the sheet and not the complete part. Replies that there are ways to do that. He doesn't listen to anything I say but keeps on saying that you have to pay €120 cas these are expensive sheets.i understood it to be useless to have a conversation with him. While I asked him for the last time "why lock my door, you could have called me to the reception or knocked on my door and asked me to step out for a discussion".Mr Pinto replies" This happens, I don't know ".Ive already realised that to be able to walk into my room I will need to pay them and so I took put cash from the ATM nearby and paid the hotel. " This was absolutely not called for. I felt threatened, ashamed, insulted, discriminated and absolutely devastated by the way the staff of Lutecia have treated me. When you find your room dirty and your bed slept in ,you have no basic toiletries for 2 days it's obvious that anyone would complain to the front desk( I showed them pictures to prove it) and in return you get blamed and threatened and get treated like a run away jack. It's a shame that a hotel as big as this would fall to a cheap level to extract money from its customer. Mr Pinto in all his mercy offered to discount to €100, I refused to take it. Absolute shame to the hotel and staff of Lutecia. Mr Salves, Mr Rudolph & Mr Pinto have no reasoning skills and definitely no professionalism and empathy for their customers.Shame that this is the only memory I take back from Lisbon Portugal as a whole. The worst memory cas of Lutecia. Shame Shame absolutely discriminating Shame.

I did not liked the hotel smell, as you enter ,, a cheap cologne smell hits you. Sorry to say, but i did not like the Reception staff, could present themselves in a nicer manner, my opinion. The room was acceptable but no good value for the money. Location was good though it was far from city center. Metro station Roma near by takes you directly in the city core. Breakfast was acceptable. Dirty carpet on the halls. I will find something better next time for 130 euro/ night.
